On 3 September 2019, the association Verein Erlebnis Technik e.V. from Ahaus visited Pieron in Bocholt.
We were welcomed by managing director Mr Christian Fehler and sales assistant Ms Nikola Kohlbecher and given comprehensive information about the company.
The company “Pieron” was founded in 1925 and, family-owned for generations, has developed into a leading company that today has 270 employees and generated sales of €46 million in 2018. Around 2,000 different spring products are manufactured. In total, around 1 billion parts leave the company every year, around 80% of which go to the automotive supply industry. A modern high-bay warehouse was completed in 2015. The company also operates worldwide, with plants in the USA, Mexico, India and China.
There are currently 19 apprentices, e.g. industrial mechanics, machine and plant operators, industrial clerks and IT specialists.
After the presentation, we were able to see the production of various spring products. The well-organised and sometimes highly complex work processes in the clean halls greatly impressed the interested guests.
