PIERON canted coil springs are ideal for mechanical connections and for transmitting electrical currents. Each individual coil serves as a contact point, compensating for tolerances or vibrations and allowing maximum current to be achieved electrically. EMI shielding and grounding can also be implemented with the canted coil spring. PIERON works with its customers to develop the right solution, e.g. for use in connectors on the e-motor or in the charging station.
PIERON contact clamps connect busbars, wires, cores and electrical cables. Once installed, they ensure permanent and secure contact. For individual solutions (e.g. clamping force design, loss prevention and much more), our development team is at your disposal!
Busbars
Development phase
Busbars distribute power in electric vehicles. Optional plastic overmoulding provides electrical insulation for the copper and aluminium bars, guaranteeing the safe distribution of high-voltage currents. The customer-specific geometries ensure maximum automation during installation.
The design options are numerous – from a stamped or bent part and coating with stripped ends to pre-assembled units, e.g. connectors or frame clamps.
Edgewise coils / edgewise chokes
Development phase
Edgewise coils, also known as edgewise chokes, made of flat and round materials limit currents in electrical lines. They are used in the power supplies of electrical devices and in power electronics. They are indispensable for photovoltaic inverters, power generation, charging systems for electric cars and other high-current applications.
HV connectors
Development phase
High-voltage connectors (shielding sleeves) protect conductive or surrounding components in charging connectors from electric and magnetic fields. HV connectors are suitable for transmitting large electrical energy flows. They can be used for energy transmission or electrical connection between two electrical systems.
