How do wire bent parts work?
Wire bent parts work by using the bent wire segments to provide targeted elastic forces or geometric connections. They can absorb tensile, compressive or bending loads and generate restoring forces, or act statically as a bracket and guide element – often in combination with other components. PIERON also produces complex geometries with high dimensional accuracy and reproducibility on multi-axis CNC-controlled wire bending machines with up to 24 axes, ensuring functionality even with tight tolerances. Precision through technology: tight tolerances are guaranteed thanks to modern camera monitoring in the production process.
How are wire bent parts made?
Wire bent parts are produced in a multi-stage process. First, suitable wire materials and profiles are selected. Cold-drawn round wire made of spring steel, stainless steel wire or special alloys is used for this. High-precision CNC bending machines (with up to 24 axes) for complex shapes are used to bend the wire into three-dimensional geometries. If required, automated assembly takes place in an integrated production line. PIERON’s in-house toolmaking ensures minimal waiting times for special solutions and maximum process consistency in series production.
Developing and manufacturing our own tools also ensures a high level of process quality and flexibility. PIERON also offers short-notice sample production to support fast development cycles.
