End of April, employees of the Municipal Parks and Gardens Department planted a field maple tree on the way of Trees of Year in Bocholt. The field maple is the tree of the year 2015. The Pieron GmbH is sponsor of the tree.

As tree sponsors, Gisela Pieron, shareholder of company Pieron, and Christian Fehler, managing director, were invited to this year’s planting action. Head of town planning, Ulrich Paßlick, thanked the company: “Through this sponsorship you show your closeness to the home-town, nature and environment.”This year’s tree of the year, the field maple, can live as long as 150 years and blossoms in May and June. Birds like using the dense tree crown for their nest-building or for protective cover.“We simply want to give something back”, Christian Fehler pointed out. “We benefit from the town’s high livability and would like to help keeping it attractively.
